Part time first-cycle studies

Course completion is credited on annual basis: in each semester it is possible to earn a maximum of 50 points.

The student who does not obtain a passing grade in the “Foreign language” course (in the first or in the third semester) can still pass and credit the subject in the annual system.

PLEASE NOTE: A NECESSARY CONDITION FOR PASSING THE SUBJECT IS TO EARN A MINIMUM OF 50% PLUS 1 OF ALL POINTS (100 points being the maximum).

  • An additional condition of obtaining the passing grade is participation in  classes. The student is permitted:
  • two absences without certification from the language class. Each following absence results in the deduction of 1 point (from the pool of 100 points)
  • Based on current grades from the subject (40%) and the exam grade (60%) , ONE final grade for the “Foreign language” subject will be given, based on the criteria within the 100-point scale.

Extra points

  1. The language teacher is entitled to grant a maximum of 4 extra points to a student of full time first-cycle studies and uniform Master’s studies, and a maximum of 2 extra points to a student of supplementary (post-Bachelor) Master’s studies and part time studies.
  2. The decision on whether or not to grant extra points is at the sole discretion of the language teacher.
  3. The information about possible extra points should be communicated to the students at the beginning of each semester.
  4. Extra points should be recorded in a paper record sheet and in the Moodle platform as a separate category.
  5. The category of extra points should be added when calculating the total from categories including activities, tests, and negative points for absences.
  6. The total number of points earned during the semester may not exceed the maximum number of points prescribed in the Regulations.
